Today's find on Ancestry: 2nd cousin 5x removed Eunice Maria Averill (1820-1890) and her husband, Dr. Robert Crane (1820-1909). He graduated from Yale, practiced in Middlebury, CT, where he was also the postmaster and Justice of the Peace for the town. They had three children - a girl, who died in infancy, and two sons, who like their father, also attended Yale. She predeceased her husband, but this photo looks like mourning garb, maybe for her daughter Mary Ann. Robert definitely had piercing eyes.
